Job summary

Darigold is seeking an Advanced Lab Technician to perform analytical, chemical, and microbiological testing across ingredients, environment, and finished product samples. The role supports the plant's food safety plan and verifies critical control points to ensure hazard control effectiveness.

You will collect and test samples, document results, and transfer data for product releases. Maintain GLP, SOP adherence, and continuous improvement within the lab environment.

Qualifications

• Good Lab Practices: follow and demonstrate good lab practices.
• Advanced certifications in dairy science, food safety, or lab techniques.
• WSDA licenses: Appendix N Certified Industry Analyst and Plant Sampler Licenses.
• Knowledge of FDA, USDA, CODEX dairy regs; PMO/FSMA basics.
• HACCP, PCQI, SQF certifications.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and database systems (LIMS, Oracle, SafetyChain, Smartsheets).
• Typing at least 40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory duties and testing of finished and in-process samples.
• Aid in sample collection, testing, documentation, and manage out-of-spec notifications.
• Transfer data into systems for product releases and reports.
• Notify supervisor of non-conforming results and verify outcomes.
• Maintain environmental swabbing program and report results.
• Record data accurately and maintain documentation.
• Stock and maintain lab supplies; keep a clean, operational lab.
• Follow SOPs and GLP to ensure compliance.
• Support FSQA initiatives and quality management system tasks.
• Perform verification tasks of preventive controls and lab proficiency testing.
