Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

About the role

We are seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in New York. The role involves ensuring compliance with food safety standards, leading audits and inspections, managing supplier assessments, overseeing hygiene and safety training, and maintaining quality performance across our operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and plant condition standards.
• Leading audits, inspections, and consultations to ensure understanding and compliance with standards.
• Monitoring all programs to meet quality and regulatory standards for food, beverage, and related products.
• Assessing suppliers and working closely with department managers on new products or practices.
• Overseeing complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintaining sanitation standards and coordinating with vendors on chemical and PPE management.
• Providing hygiene training, coaching staff, and promoting a food safety culture.
• Investigating accidents, maintaining reports, and conducting new hire orientations.
• Reporting on quality performance and ensuring ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Safety & Quality Management, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Hygiene and Quality Assurance, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, SQF, and food safety systems.
• Relevant food safety certifications, including HACCP and PCQI.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage workload independently or in teams.
• Flexible with shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
