Compass Group USA’s Canteen in Longview, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support food safety and quality initiatives, maintaining HACCP programs, and ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF and customer requirements.

You will conduct audits, investigate quality issues, implement CAPAs, manage documentation, and train staff to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, public health, or related field.
• Knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, and Preventive Controls requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with audits, food safety documentation, and quality systems in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, customer and company food safety and quality requirements.
• Develop, update, and maintain food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and quality procedures and training.
• Review quality documentation for raw materials, packaging components, and finished products to ensure specs.
• Participate in customer complaint investigations and document non-conformances, deviations, and out-of-specification results.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and implement CAPAs from audits.
• Support environmental monitoring and sanitation programs.
• Review QA and Production documentation including CCPs, CPs, preventive controls, labels, sanitation, environmental records, and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain and document food safety and quality records per established procedures.
• Review and verify product labels for specs, nutritional information, allergen declarations, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on supplier documentation, certifications, and Letters of Guarantee.
• Participate in internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide food safety and quality training to employees.
