Job summary

Ninth Avenue Foods is seeking a Document Control Specialist to organize and maintain QA documentation, coordinate supplier information, and track food safety metrics. This hands-on role reports to the Quality Systems Manager and supports SQF program activities across the facility.

The candidate will ensure compliance with food safety regulations, SOPs, and recordkeeping, while collaborating with operations to uphold sanitation programs and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
• Strong understanding of HARPC and risk-based controls
• Experience with HACCP programs and HACCP certification
• Knowledge of FSMA regulations and PCQI certification
• Minimum 6 months QA experience in Food Safety and SQF implementation
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain QA department documentation
• Review process control records and coordinate with suppliers
• Coordinate reporting of food safety and quality metrics
• Ensure compliance with food safety, customer, quality and regulatory requirements
• Support development, implementation, review, monitoring, validation and auditing of SQF system
• Collaborate with operations to ensure sanitation programs are effective
• Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
