The State of Colorado, Department of Agriculture, invites applications for the Food Safety Program Director. This executive role directs the Produce Safety, Custom Meat, and Egg programs, supervises senior staff, and ensures regulatory compliance with FDA standards while aligning with statewide strategic goals.

Formación

• Ten years of professional experience in agribusiness, agriculture, or regulatory programs.
• Three years managing a regulatory program or compliance function.
• Experience with food safety in rural or agricultural settings.
• One year of public or business administration experience.
• Two years of supervision experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for Colorado's Food Safety Programs (Produce Safety, Custom Meat, Egg).
• Direct program budgeting, staffing, policy development, and regulatory enforcement.
• Oversee grant management, MOUs, and statewide compliance with FDA and state rules.
• Lead cross‑agency collaboration and engage stakeholders to advance food safety objectives.
• Ensure staff development, performance management, and a positive work culture.
