Matrix Sciences International in Brookings, SD is seeking an entry‑level Technical staff member to perform routine microbiological testing of food and environmental samples under aseptic conditions, focusing on sample preparation and plating.

You will support routine lab operations, monitor equipment, maintain traceability and documentation, and assist with investigations and corrective actions. The role follows SOPs, safety rules, and a Monday–Friday 8am‑5pm schedule.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in sciences or two years of experience in a commercial lab environment.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• Adaptable to a fast-changing environment.
• Entry-level role with Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm schedule.

Aufgaben

• Perform sample setup, dilutions and plating on food and environmental samples following aseptic techniques and SOPs.
• Monitor and verify basic lab equipment (balances, fridges, incubators, pipettes).
• Identify, communicate and document non-conformities related to daily activities.
• Support routine laboratory operations (sample archiving, media preparation, cleaning, waste disposal).
• Ensure traceability and documentation of testing activities; meet turnaround times.
• Assist with investigations and corrective actions; participate in process improvements.
