Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in food processing/quality management; meat/USDA experience preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the FSQA team and daily quality operations.
• Maintain HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMPs, SSOPs, and monitoring programs.
• Ensure compliance with USDA and applicable food safety regulations.
• Manage internal, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.
• Oversee sanitation verification, product hold/release, and quality inspections.
• Analyze quality trends, perform root-cause investigations, and CAPA.
• Support new product launches and facility/process improvements.
• Develop food safety and quality training programs.
• Address customer complaints and support audits/visits.
• Collaborate with plant operations to maintain safety standards.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the FSQA team and daily quality operations.

• Ensure compliance with USDA and applicable food safety regulations.
• Manage internal, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with M3, Redzone, or TraceGains is a plus.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including cold conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and limited travel may be required.
