Job summary

Alpha Executive Search is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead the FSQA function for a fast-paced meat-processing facility. You will oversee food safety, quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement programs, while building a strong FSQA team.

Responsibilities include leading audits, HACCP plans, data analysis, and cross-functional improvements across shifts. Relocation assistance to Utah or California is provided.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of food safety/quality experience
• USDA-FSIS regulated food manufacturing experience required
• Previous FSQA leadership experience
• Meat experience required (Beef, Pork or Poultry)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of FSQA employees across multiple shifts
• Manage food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory programs
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and customer requirements
• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety Plans
• Lead USDA, customer, and third-party audits
• Monitor sanitation performance and partner with Operations to drive improvements
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Investigate customer complaints and implement solutions
• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support new products, equipment installations, plant trials, and commercialization
• Oversee microbiological and analytical testing
• Maintain plant-wide FSQA training programs
• Build a strong culture of food safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

This position will oversee the plant’s food safety, quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement programs while developing and leading a strong FSQA team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of 6–15 FSQA employees across multiple shifts
• Manage food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory programs
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and customer requirements
• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety Plans
• Lead USDA, customer, and third-party audits
• Monitor sanitation performance and partner with Operations to drive improvements
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
