Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking a Food Safety Coordinator to lead local site food safety monitoring, verification programs, and continuous improvement efforts. You will collaborate with Sanitation, Quality, Operations, and Safety to ensure ongoing compliance with FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and company policies.

You will head the Food Safety Team, review programs annually, and support audits while managing non-conforming reports and CAPA actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience.
• Two or more years in a food safety role leading people.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Proficient knowledge of FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, Food Allergens, Pest Control, and the Principles of Food Safety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP/CRM.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of local site food safety and quality programs including CCPs, PRPs and SSOPs.
• Lead the Food Safety Team with annual program reviews and updates.
• Assist in writing, implementing, and training on plant and corporate QUAs.
• Audit preparation and reporting of GMP trends and self-inspections.
• Support and/or lead third-party audits.
• Manage non-conforming reports and drive root-cause analyses.
• Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis and corrective and preventative measures.
• Adhere to GMP and regulatory requirements to ensure consumer safety.
