Job summary

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework or a degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, and/or Physical Sciences is preferred.
• Laboratory experience is preferred.
• General knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of analytical, microbiological, or quality system procedures in the Food Safety Laboratory.
• Maintain ISO records for process control and ensure compliance with quality system and safety requirements.
• Complete initial proficiency testing and maintain competency through annual verification.
