Job summary

Good Foods Group in Pleasant Prarie, WI seeks a Safety Technician to report to the Safety Manager and help develop procedures that control accidents and health exposures, minimizing OSHA violations.

The role involves safety audits, designing processes, inspections, incident investigations, staff training, and compliance with OSHA and GMP requirements across production and warehouse environments.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Safety technician experience preferred.
  • Production and/or warehouse experience desirable, food manufacturing a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Safety manager with safety audits and daily walk-throughs to ensure team members are working in a safe manner.
  • Design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from hazardous work conditions.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure that they follow safety standards and government regulations.
  • Help prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assist with incident investigations to determine root cause and prepare corrective and preventative action plans for OSHA reporting.
  • Work with plant leadership on safety and proper PPE issues.
  • Report and document complaints, problems, or unusual occurrences to the Safety Manager.
