About the Role:

• Remote position with up to 85% travel to client sites across North America.
• A global Certified Body is in search of a Lead Auditor to consult, train, and audit third parties. The role supports food safety and quality for top global brands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits against 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-party food safety standards.
• Perform document reviews and pre-assessments for compliance readiness.
• Deliver technical training on food safety programs and regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and advise on corrective actions.
• Liaise with audit teams and clients to ensure clear communication of findings.
• Maintain compliance with GFSI standards and USDA/FDA regulations.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• Certified GFSI Lead Auditor and PCQI (required).
• 5+ years of experience in food safety, auditing, or related fields.
• Conducted at least 10 external food safety audits.
• Strong knowledge of food industry regulations (USDA/FDA/CFIA), HACCP, and GFSI schemes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and digital reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (3–5 nights/week).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous food plant or food safety program experience.
• Current certification in FSSC 22000 or similar GFSI scheme.
