Position Overview:

As a Senior Crypto Auditor, you will play a critical role in executing and overseeing audit procedures for clients in the blockchain and digital asset industry. You will work closely with audit managers and staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging best practices for crypto-native financial reporting. This role requires strong technical expertise in blockchain-based financial transactions, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage audit engagements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute audit procedures related to digital assets, blockchain transactions, and financial reporting.
• Review and analyze on-chain transactions, smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols for financial statement implications.
• Perform reconciliations for proof-of-reserves, crypto holdings, and exchange balances.
• Assist in audit planning, risk assessment, and determining audit strategies for blockchain-based financial systems.
• Review audit work performed by junior staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and technical memos in compliance with professional standards.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing insights on digital asset accounting.
• Conduct research on evolving regulations, accounting frameworks (GAAP, IFRS), and industry trends.
• Mentor and train junior team members on blockchain auditing techniques and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred or actively working towards CPA certification.
• 3-5 years of public accounting or audit experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on digital assets.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DeFi ecosystems.
• Experience with crypto-native audit tools, blockchain explorers, and forensic analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software; familiarity with crypto-specific platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skill set, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $80,000 to $115,000.00 per year + a valuable options package. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience and current market data.
