Job summary

White Horse Catering in Wellington, FL is seeking a Food Runner to quickly deliver orders from the kitchen to guests while ensuring accuracy and safety. The role supports Front of House and backs of house, and involves coordinating with chefs and serving staff.

Applicants should be at least sixteen years old, with at least 21 to serve alcoholic beverages. Previous experience as a food expeditor or runner is preferred. This is a part-time position in a busy restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivers food orders from kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.

• Serves welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres upon guest arrival.

• Checks in with guests and takes additional orders or refills water.
• Removes dirty dishes and utensils.
• Answers guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Reports guest feedback or requests to restaurant staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Food Runner is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to customers at the restaurant.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivers food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• No Auctioning off food, use seat position to serve food to our patrons
• Acts as the contact point between Front and Back of the House staff.
• Communicates food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies).
• Assists the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins.
• Serves welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres, upon guests’ arrival.
• Ensures food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g., proper temperature).
• Checks in with guests and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
• Removes dirty dishes and utensils.
• Answers guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Inform restaurant staff about guests’ feedback or requests (e.g., when they ask for the check).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
