Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Food Runner for Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico, a premier resort in its portfolio. This role supports culinary and service teams, delivering meals promptly while maintaining presentation standards in a vibrant resort setting.

You will collaborate with multiple outlets, learn menus and service standards, and contribute to a guest-centric experience. The position is site-based with opportunities to grow within a prominent hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to learn menus, table numbers, seat positions, and service standards.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant communication with culinary and service colleagues.
• Verify table number, seat number, menu item, modifications, and accompaniments before leaving the kitchen.
• Deliver food promptly to the correct guest and position.
• Announce dishes professionally when appropriate.
• Ensure required condiments, sauces, utensils, and accompaniments are delivered with each item.
• Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients and common allergens sufficient to safely perform the role.
• Never guess when asked an allergy or ingredient question; obtain assistance from the appropriate colleague.
• Inspect plates for obvious presentation or accuracy issues before delivery.
• Immediately communicate missing, incorrect, delayed, or compromised items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo and food-running areas.
• Assist with table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service, and other service functions when operationally necessary.
• Follow food-safety requirements when transporting and handling food.
• Support all designated Food & Beverage outlets as assigned based on business needs.
• Perform opening, running, and closing side work.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
