Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Food Runner – Mansion to support our Food & Beverage team. You will assist servers and bartenders, maintain service standards, and ensure dining areas are prepared and reset for members and guests.

The role reports to the Mansion Supervisor and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, fostering a welcoming, efficient, and memorable dining experience within a historic club setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant, private club, banquet service, or similar hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of basic table service procedures and service standards.
• Understanding of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Professional, positive, and member-focused attitude.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to assist with furniture movement and event setup.

The Opportunity

Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club is seeking a Food Runner - Mansion to join our Food & Beverage team. This position plays an important role in supporting dining room operations by assisting servers and bartenders, maintaining service standards, ensuring dining areas are properly prepared and reset, and delivering exceptional service to members and guests. The Food Runner - Mansion reports directly to the Mansion Supervisor and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and contributes to creating a welcoming, efficient, and memorable dining experience.

The Day-to-Day

• Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain professional appearance standards, including proper uniform, name tag, grooming, and demeanor.
• Become proficient in the use of required equipment and safety features.
• Complete assigned side work and opening duties prior to service.
• Perform kitchen preparation and station setup as outlined on side work assignments.
• Assist with dining room table setup and preparation.
• Attend pre-shift meetings to review daily specials and operational updates.
• Monitor bread warmers, tea stations, coffee stations, and other service areas throughout the shift.
• Assist servers and bartenders during service periods.
• Greet members warmly and provide initial water service.
• Remove dirty dishes, trays, and tableware from dining areas.
• Reset tables promptly during service.
• Maintain communication with the Mansion Supervisor and Food & Beverage leadership team.
• Perform assigned daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
• Assist with event and function setup, including moving furniture as needed.
• Check out with management before the end of each shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality member service.
