Job summary

Makers Union Pub is seeking a Food Runner to join our vibrant team and deliver dishes with speed and precision while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

In this role you will collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff, maintain a clean workstation, and provide friendly, proactive service. Candidates should be at least 18, with a flexible schedule and alcohol-service certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and all holidays.
• At least 18 years of age.
• If running drinks, must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and must be certified in responsible alcohol service.
• Ability to learn and follow processes.

As a Food Runner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. You'll be responsible for delivering our mouthwatering dishes to our guests with speed and precision, while providing exceptional service and creating memorable moments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)


• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40–50 lbs (e.g., trays, dish racks, furniture)


• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting


• Manual dexterity to handle dishes, glassware, and cleaning tools safely


• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and noisy environment (kitchen and dining areas)


• Ability to navigate crowded spaces while carrying items safely


• Visual and auditory ability to identify spills, hazards, and guest needs
