Park Ridge Country Club is looking to add a Kitchen Food Runner to our team. We are a country club that focuses on food, events, and great member experiences.

The Food Runner Position

The Food Runner is the link between our kitchen and the customer. Food Runners ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner, meet Park Ridge Country Club’s standards, and reach the right customer. Food Runners also prepare and package take-out orders and are the final interaction with this important customer base. Food Runners must be organized and efficient while remaining professional, polite, and reliable. Our Food Runners are quick and efficient while warm and gracious guides to our restaurants. Food Runners work with our team to exceed our guests’ expectations and to provide them with a memorable club experience.

Minimum Requirements and Expectations

1. Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
2. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
3. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
4. Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
5. Basic English language and professional communication skills are required

Physical Requirements

1. Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
2. Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift
3. Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
4. Hand-eye coordination
5. Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping
6. Pushing and pulling
7. Lifting overhead
8. Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels
