Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is seeking a Food Runner to efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to guest tables, supporting servers and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience. The role emphasizes attentiveness, presentation, and guest interaction in a high-end lake resort.

The position requires the ability to multitask, strong communication, and physical stamina for lifting and standing.

Qualifications

• Previous food runner or restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Washoe County Food Handler Card.
• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and with proper presentation.
• Ensure orders are complete and meet presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items or ingredients; maintain cleanliness of workstations, service stations, and the expo line.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables when necessary.
• Ensure dietary and allergen modifications are properly communicated and delivered.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
