Job summary

Samoset Resort in Rockport, ME is seeking a Food Runner to join our hospitality team. You will deliver meals to tables, assist the expo, and help ensure timely service during busy shifts. The role supports kitchen and front-of-house operations in a seasonal resort setting.

This position rewards teamwork, clear communication, and strong guest service. Previous experience is a plus, and a courteous attitude helps you thrive while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required.
• Previous experience a plus. Must have courteous phone skills and the ability to take accurate messages.

Responsibilities

• Run food to appropriate table and seat numbers
• Assist expo in preparing and garnishing food to be ran
• Opening side work to prepare for the shift to include prepping expo items
• Closing side work to clean the expo station
• Communicate with supervisor any complaints or compliments
• Adhere to the rules and regulations of the company as defined in the employee handbook
• Always wear appropriate uniform provided by company policy
