Job summary

Tulsi Restaurant LLC in Elgin, IL is hiring a Food Runner to be the crucial link between the kitchen and front-of-house team. You will deliver meals, set and clear tables, and help maintain smooth service in a fast-paced dining room.

The ideal candidate is friendly, hardworking, and able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work evenings and weekends. Prior bussing/server experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a busser, barback, food runner, or similar position is preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers their meals and drinks in an efficient manner.
• Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff.
• Refill drinks.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
• Remove tablecloths and reset tables.
• Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations.
