The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences by supporting both our front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

As a Food Runner:

  • Organize and garnish plates before they leave the kitchen, ensuring they meet the restaurant's high standards for presentation.
  • Announce and describe dishes to guests as they are served, answering any immediate questions they may have about their order.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs and servers regarding order status, special requests, and any potential delays.
  • Assist in final plate preparation, including adding sauces, garnishes, and side dishes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized expo line and food pickup area.

As a Busser:

  • Efficiently clear, clean, and reset tables after guests depart, preparing them for the next party in a timely manner.
  • Assist servers by refilling water glasses, clearing empty plates, and responding to minor guest needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the entire dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations.
  • Restock service stations with clean glassware, silverware, napkins, and other necessary supplies.
  • Properly sort and manage dirty dishes, glassware, and linens in the dishwashing area.
  • Assist with basic opening and closing duties, such as setting up the patio, stocking stations, and end-of-night cleaning tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate with a great attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to work cooperatively with a diverse team of servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork are essential.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry trays of food, bus tubs, and other items weighing up to 30-40 lbs.
  • Must have the physical stamina to handle continuous bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a potentially noisy and crowded environment.

Fundamentals:

This is a high-energy position that requires full mobility, constant movement in a fast paced environment. Basic English communication skills are needed. This position also requires the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Schedule:

Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
