The Pink Adobe is seeking a dependable, attentive, and energetic Food Runner to support our front-of-house and culinary teams. This role is essential to the flow of service, helping ensure each dish arrives at the right table, at the right time, and with the care expected of a Santa Fe landmark. Our service style is warm and relaxed, but it depends on accuracy, communication, and strong teamwork.

Position Summary

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the dining room quickly, accurately, and with proper presentation. This role supports servers, communicates closely with the kitchen and expo, assists with table maintenance, and helps maintain a smooth, gracious guest experience throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

• Run food to tables promptly, accurately, and with care for presentation.
• Confirm table numbers, seat positions, dish names, modifiers, and allergies before leaving the kitchen or expo line.
• Announce dishes clearly and professionally when placing food at the table.
• Support servers by anticipating guest needs and assisting with basic table maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with expo, servers, bartenders, bussers, and managers throughout service.
• Assist with water service, clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean service areas when needed.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, and alert expo or management if something appears incorrect.
• Help maintain proper pacing between courses and support the flow of the dining room.
• Keep expo areas, service stations, and pass areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety standards.
• Support opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
• Clear communication skills and a calm, respectful presence.
• Ability to move efficiently while remaining composed and professional.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, team-oriented, and punctual.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, and move comfortably throughout service.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
