Job summary

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island is seeking an energetic Food Runner to join our team. You will transport food from kitchen to guest tables, assist servers, and help ensure a high-quality guest experience.

This role requires good organization, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and the stamina to stand for long shifts, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. We offer a welcoming, drug-free workplace and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or similar role.
• Ability to transport meals accurately using table numbers and seat positions.
• Strong guest-service focus and teamwork.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a guest focus while performing duties.
• Transport food from kitchen to guest using correct table numbers and seat positions.
• Expedite orders from the hot, cold, and sushi windows.
• Communicate with servers, bartenders and kitchen staff.
• Assist with pre-bussing tables and returning dish tubs.
• Notify manager if guest experience is not 100% satisfactory.
• Follow all department policies and procedures.
• Able to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Job description

The Sundial Beach Resort & Spa located on sunny Sanibel Island is seeking an energetic Food Runner to join our team!

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a Guest focus while performing duties
• Responsibility for quality guests’ experience
• Transport food from kitchen to guest using correct table numbers and seat positions.
• Set up all condiments and kitchen expo line
• Complete assigned side work and closing duties
• Expedite all orders from the hot, cold, and sushi windows.
• Communicate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen
• Help pre-bussing tables
• Help return full dish tubs back to the kitchen
• Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
• Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards, and procedures of the department
• Available for work assignments outside of associate’s customary work schedule. This may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
• Maintain compliance with all resort policies and procedures described and communicated by management.
