Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The role provides sanitation support to the culinary and service staff, with a guest-focused attitude in a busy back-of-house environment.

Responsibilities include operating the dish machine, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and assisting the kitchen team while complying with OSHA guidelines. Applicants must be able to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the dish machine, ensuring soap and sanitizer levels are correct.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, including floors, prep areas, and storage spaces.
• Sanitize all kitchen equipment and storage areas in accordance with health rules.
• Assist in proper waste handling, bin liners, and trash removal.
• Follow OSHA policies and resort safety guidelines at all times.
• Be flexible with shifts and ready to work holidays and weekends.

Job description

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa,located on tropical Sanibel Island, is seeking a Dishwasher to join our fabulous team. Candidates must be hardworking, have a strong work-ethic, and be a responsible team player.

Job Summary:

Works in the kitchen offering sanitation support to the culinary team and restaurant service staff; displaying a guest service personality and positive attitude towards helping others in the back of the house areas.

Responsibilities:

Work in a safe manner and abide by OSHA policies and those set forth by the resort

• Put together the dish machine in the correct manner and check soap and sanitizer levels
• Lay down non-slip mats and rugs in kitchen
• Fill all sanitation buckets for each prep station and fold towels for each station
• Set out pre-soak bucket for silverware and ramekins
• Place all clean trash receptacles with liners in all prep areas of kitchen and line
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize all food storage areas, walk-in coolers, freezers and dry storage areas
• Clean filters and hoods
• Clean and sanitize loading dock, garbage areas, all garbage containers and all garbage bins from food production and service areas.
• Store all cleaned articles in the correct areas
• Remove stains from China and cutlery as required.
• Ensure all access and traffic areas are free and clear of debris
• Keep all equipment in its proper areas and said areas are to remain clean and organized.
• Report all accidents and breakages to the kitchen manager or supervisor
• Report and/or take action on any equipment breakdown or safety issue relevant to your work area.
• Remove trash, break down boxes and keep kitchen floors debris free.
• Assists in ordering stewarding supplies
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
• Exhibits flexibility and emotional control when dealing with last-minute changes and special requests.
• Works closely and maintains a positive working relationship with kitchen staff.
• Complies with all policies, procedures and standards.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends
• Perform other duties as requested by management
