Job summary

CUT by Wolfgang Puck, one of New York’s premier modern steakhouses, is seeking a polished, energetic Food Runner to join our breakfast and lunch service team. This role is essential to delivering a seamless guest experience through strong communication between the kitchen and dining room, precise food delivery, and immaculate service stations.

The Food Runner supports both the Culinary and Front of House teams, ensuring timely, accurate food delivery and maintaining clean, organized service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in upscale dining, hotel breakfast service, or fine dining preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and polished presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Flexible availability for morning and midday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Team Support: Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly service.
• Assist servers with timely and accurate delivery of food to guests.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Alert managers and/or servers promptly if guests express concerns upon food delivery.
• Service Stations & Dining Room Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen and service stations are fully stocked and prepared prior to service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of side stations throughout service.
• Restock bus stations continually with ice, coffee, teas, and necessary supplies.
• Remove soiled dishes from tables and deliver to dishwashing area promptly.
• Setup & Event Support: Assist with proper setup and breakdown of dining rooms and banquet events as assigned.
• Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and service items according to standards.
• Additional Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

Description

CUT by Wolfgang Puck, one of New York’s premier modern steakhouses, is seeking a polished, energetic Food Runner to join our breakfast and lunch service team. This role is essential to delivering a seamless guest experience through strong communication between the kitchen and dining room, precise food delivery, and immaculate service stations. Candidates with hotel or upscale breakfast service experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary
The Food Runner supports both the Culinary and Front of House teams by ensuring timely, accurate food delivery, proper setup and maintenance of service areas, and attentive support of guests and servers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the pace, presentation, and standards expected of the Wolfgang Puck brand.

Pay: $17 / hour

Essential Job Functions

Guest Service & Team Support
Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly service
Assist servers with timely and accurate delivery of food to guests
Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth service flow
Alert managers and/or servers promptly if guests express concerns upon food delivery

Maintain cleanliness and organization of side stations throughout service
