STK Downtown Chelsea in New York, NY is seeking a Food Runner to enhance the guest dining experience by delivering dishes quickly, accurately, and attractively. You will collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to keep food flowing smoothly from kitchen to guests, upholding THE ONE GROUP’s quality standards.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 20 lbs.
• Basic English proficiency for guest interaction.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented.
• Work with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth food flow.
• Know the menu and describe dishes confidently to guests.
• Maintain awareness of table numbers, seat assignments, and floor plans.
• Provide condiments and assists servers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area and follow health/safety rules.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Runner, you will play a key role in delivering an elevated guest experience by ensuring food is delivered quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented. Your mission is to work closely with the kitchen and service teams to maintain a smooth flow of food from the kitchen to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure food is prepared and delivered according to THE ONE GROUP’s quality standards
• Possess full menu knowledge and confidently describe dishes to guests
• Maintain awareness of table numbers, seat assignments, and floor plans for efficient service
• Follow proper service procedures when delivering food, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
• Offer condiments and accompaniments (pepper, cheese, etc.) when appropriate
• Communicate seamlessly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food deliveryli>
• Assist servers and bussers with guest requests and overall service needs
• Always maintain a clean and organized service area
• Follow health and sanitation regulations to ensure food safety and cleanliness
• Be available to assist in restaurant setup, cleaning, and general service tasks as directed by management
