Job summary

STK Scottsdale is hiring a Food Runner to enhance guest experiences by delivering meals quickly and beautifully, coordinating with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations. You will be responsible for menu knowledge, timely delivery, and supporting servers to meet guests’ expectations.

The role requires a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, and basic English for guest interactions. Night/weekend shifts and standing for long periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift 20 lbs.
• Able to carry large trays with warm plates.
• Basic English proficiency for guest interaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food quickly, accurately, and attractively.
• Keep kitchen-to-guest flow smooth by coordinating with kitchen and service teams.
• Know the menu and describe dishes confidently to guests.
• Maintain awareness of table numbers, seating, and floor plans for efficient service.
• Follow proper service procedures to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Offer condiments and accompaniments as appropriate.
• Assist servers and bussers with guest requests and overall service needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area and observe sanitation guidelines.
• Participate in restaurant setup, cleaning, and general service tasks as directed by management.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Runner, you will play a key role in delivering an elevated guest experience by ensuring food is delivered quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented. Your mission is to work closely with the kitchen and service teams to maintain a smooth flow of food from the kitchen to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure food is prepared and delivered according to THE ONE GROUP’s quality standards
• Possess full menu knowledge and confidently describe dishes to guests
• Maintain awareness of table numbers, seat assignments, and floor plans for efficient service
• Follow proper service procedures when delivering food, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
• Offer condiments and accompaniments (pepper, cheese, etc.) when appropriate
• Communicate seamlessly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
• Assist servers and bussers with guest requests and overall service needs
• Always maintain a clean and organized service area
• Follow health and sanitation regulations to ensure food safety and cleanliness
• Be available to assist in restaurant setup, cleaning, and general service tasks as directed by management
