Job summary

The Galt House Hotel in Louisville is hiring a Food Runner for Swizzle, a new restaurant perched 25 stories above River Road. You will assist servers, maintain stations, ensure food safety, and help deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, are able to stand for long shifts, and can lift up to 60 lbs. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Strong customer service mindset and self-motivation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the server to consistently deliver a quality experience for guests
• Prepare food stations and maintaining organized and clean guest tables
• Ensure that food safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
• Serving food and drink to guests at the direction of the server
• Clean, clear, and reset tables in preparation for arriving guests
• Acting as a connection between front-of-house and back-of-house when necessary
• Handling guest concerns and complaints, notifying server and manager when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
