Job summary

Blueridge Restaurant Group is seeking energetic Food Runners/To-Go Specialists to ensure timely delivery and accurate takeout orders. You will work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to provide a seamless guest experience, presenting dishes properly and handling To-Go packaging with care.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication and customer service skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Stand for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Professional appearance consistent with company standards.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.
• Able to report to work as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water; loud noise.
• Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food promptly while ensuring each dish is accurate, properly presented, and served at the correct temperature.
• Verify food orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Clearly communicate menu items, accompaniments, and special requests when delivering food to guests.
• Prepare, organize, and package To-Go orders with accuracy, attention to detail, and presentation in mind.
• Maintain communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth, efficient service.
• Assist servers and other team members by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, refilling supplies, and supporting guest needs.
• Maintain clean, organized service stations and complete opening, running, and closing side work.
• Develop strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings to confidently assist guests.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times.
• Demonstrate professionalism, urgency, and teamwork throughout every shift.
• Maintains performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling.
• Performs additional responsibilities, as requested by a manager at any time.
