Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking an on-call server to ensure timely service of food and beverages across our Cambridge location. The role focuses on delivering items hot and promptly, while coordinating table service for groups to keep courses aligned.

Applicants should be able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and provide informed responses to guest questions. The position offers standard hospitality perks and opportunities to support hotel operations.

This is an On Call Position.

What you'll be doing

Essential Job Functions include:

• Key Job Functions

• Serve food and beverages orders, with appropriate garnishments and condiments to guests
• Responsible for making sure all food items are served as soon as they are ready.
• Each guest seated at a table should be served together - Timing is important.
• Respond to questions with informed answers.
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for the entire shift.
• Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull and wipe.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

$19.80 to $22.00 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
