Job summary

Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Food Runner to join the Food & Beverage team. You will help provide our members and guests with a premier dining experience by delivering food, beverages, and maintaining service areas.

This position emphasizes speed, teamwork, and excellent service. No extensive prior experience required, but knowledge of proper food handling procedures is helpful, and you must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Fill water glasses and prepare/refill beverages as needed.
• Deliver bread to tables.
• Clear tables of dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Reset tables and polish/roll silverware.
• Maintain service areas in the dining room and kitchen.
• Retrieve items requested by members/guests.
• Deliver food to tables following service rules.
• Respond to members’ requests and complaints properly.
• Arrange dining room according to floor plan.
• Ensure server station is stocked with supplies.
• Assist team to deliver a positive member experience.

Come join the Greystone Golf and Country Club Food & Beverage Team as a Food Runner! You will help provide our members and guests with a premier club experience by creating a wonderful dining experience.

Essential Functions:

• Fills water glasses, preparing and refilling beverages as needed
• Delivers bread to tables
• Clears tables of dishes, utensils, and glassware
• Resets tables
• Polishes and roll silverware
• Cleans & maintain service areas in the dining room and kitchen
• Retrieves items requested by the members and guests
• Delivers food to tables while following appropriate service rules
• Responds to members’ requests and complaints properly
• Arranges dining room according to floor plan
• Ensures that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies
• Completes other tasks to assist the team in delivering a positive member experience

Requirements:
