Job summary

Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi in Bellevue, WA is seeking part-time Food Runners to support service flow in our upscale steak and sushi restaurant on Lincoln Tower South. You will deliver dishes promptly, maintain kitchen-dining coordination, and help uphold our high standards for timing, presentation, and guest experience.

The role requires effective English communication, ability to use the POS, and a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience preferred.
• Effective English communication with customers and staff.
• Ability to use the POS system and input orders accurately.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
• Washington State DOH card and any government-required cards.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Company in a professional manner and promotes the restaurant to guests and staff.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows Washington State health standards.
• Interacts with guests to make them feel welcome.
• Serves general items to serving areas (soups, salads, appetizers, entrees).
• Sets up the serving tray with dishes and plateware for service.
• Takes items to correct table quickly and safely.
• Sets up to-go orders and handles leftover food.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi (www.ascendprime.com) is seeking part‑time Food Runners for our contemporary steak and sushi restaurant on the 31st floor of Lincoln Tower South in Bellevue, WA. In this upscale environment, specializing in Prime Steaks and Global Seafood, you will be surrounded by first‑class team members and have opportunities for upward growth.

The Food Runner supports the flow of service by delivering dishes efficiently, professionally, and with attention to detail. This role helps maintain organization between the kitchen and dining room, ensuring food is delivered accurately, promptly, and with polish. The Food Runner plays an important part in upholding Ascend Prime’s high standards for timing, presentation, and guest experience.

Pay Rate

• $17.13 per hour plus tips

Requirements

• Prior serving experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers as well as all levels of employees in both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• Ability to manipulate the POS system and accurately input orders and post transactions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to receive direction in a fast‑paced environment; manage time effectively, and work well in a team environment.
• Must possess excellent customer relations & communication skills.
• Must possess at all times during employment a valid Washington State Department of Health card and any other government‑required cards.
• Must possess an entry‑level knowledge of the food and beverage offerings including ingredients, allergens, dietary limitations, and the restaurant concept overviews.

• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
