Job summary

Chaucer Foods in Forest Grove, Oregon is seeking a Quality Technician to join our on-site manufacturing team. You will perform inspections across materials, WIP, and finished products, support HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance, and help maintain accurate records to ensure food safety and quality.

The role requires 1–2 years in food manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related quality role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.
• Ability to identify problems, investigate issues, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with HACCP, GMP, food safety audits, or quality control processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections across incoming materials, WIP, and finished products.
• Support HACCP, GMP, FDA/ODA certification requirements.
• Verify product labels, packaging materials, production codes, and critical control points.
• Identify & resolve issues; initiate quality holds and document nonconforming materials.
• Conduct GMP audits and environmental monitoring, including sanitation verification.
• Collect and document samples for internal and external quality analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement by partnering with Operations and Quality teams.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and traceability records.
