Job summary

Lidestri Foods, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to ensure products and services meet regulatory, customer, and company standards.

Under the QA manager, you will lead the quality culture, direct technicians, and drive corrective actions. You will manage QA staff, support audits, develop procedures, and implement training programs to uphold food safety and quality across the plant in Fresno, CA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred in Food Science/Technology or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience preferably in a Food and Beverage manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years supervisory or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing policies and procedures, including quality measurements, root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Oracle experience desirable.
• Must have high analytical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Technicians to ensure conformity to customer, company, and regulatory standards, while maintaining high productivity and technical integrity.
• Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and paid time off.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff; including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisals and issuing discipline as needed.
• Participate in internal audits and support corrective action identification and implementation.
• Fill in for Quality Technicians as needed.
• Retrieve case samples from QC lab for analysis, customers, and holds.
• Perform incubation sample inspections.
• Restock quality supplies in lab and on production floor.
• Address food safety & quality problems as they arise.
• Implement Food Safety and quality control training programs as needed for plant personnel.
