Job summary

Pro Found Recruiting, LLC is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a Hillsborough, NC food manufacturing setting. You will partner with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain to uphold strict food-safety standards and drive CAPA and continuous improvement.

The role targets candidates with 1–5 years in quality within high-volume food production, familiar with GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, and QMS documentation.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of quality experience in food manufacturing or related high-volume environment.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and food-safety requirements.
• Exposure to SQF, BRC or other GFSI-recognized certification systems.
• Experience with investigations, root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Familiarity with audits, quality documentation and Quality Management Systems.
• Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, biology, engineering or related field preferred.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with packaging lines, sanitation processes or bakery manufacturing is helpful.
• Conversational Spanish is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an on-shift quality resource for production and operations teams.
• Monitor GMPs, hygiene practices, process controls, CCPs and quality standards.
• Oversee in-process checks, finished-product testing and environmental monitoring.
• Conduct routine GMP, sanitation and process audits.
• Support the site Quality Management System and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Investigate nonconformances, process deviations and product-quality issues.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Train employees on GMP, hygiene, food safety and product-quality requirements.
• Work with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
