Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is partnering with a growing food manufacturing company to hire a Quality Assurance Technician for Hackettstown, NJ. The role focuses on food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

The QA Technician will perform testing, inspections, and monitoring, maintain documentation, and support GMP, FDA, HACCP and FSMA programs while working a night shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• 2) Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
• 3) Basic math skills to interpret testing results.
• 4) Strong written and verbal communication.
• 5) Ability to follow GMP, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
• 6) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• 7) Willingness to work weekends as needed.
• 8) Must be authorized to work in the United States and commute to Hackettstown, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and finished product testing including moisture, peroxide, and FFA.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and specifications.
• Monitor production temperatures and storage areas.
• Conduct routine GMP inspections to ensure food safety and sanitation.
• Verify allergen controls and cross-contamination risks.
• Maintain quality control logs and traceability documentation.
• Support HACCP, SQF, FDA, and FSMA compliance efforts.
• Investigate customer quality complaints by reviewing records and samples.
• Calibrate scales and testing equipment; document results.
• Communicate quality concerns to management and production teams.
