Second Nature Brands LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the afternoon shift in Madison Heights, MI. The role focuses on ensuring products meet quality and safety standards through testing, inspections, and documentation.

Based at Kar's Nuts facility, duties include monitoring production, handling non-conforming products, and supporting food safety initiatives. The position offers a full-time schedule with a weekday shift and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year previous food safety and quality assurance experience (Preferred).
• 18 years of age or older.
• Basic math skills and calculator proficiency.
• Self-directed with good communication and the ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet specifications by testing raw and finished products using basic lab equipment.
• Place non-conforming products on hold for inspection and disposition as needed.
• Check measurements per SQF requirements.
• Perform visual inspections and ATP swabs post sanitation.
• Complete QA documentation with basic computer skills.
• Follow GMP, QFS, and OSHA safety policies.
