Job summary

Cloverdale Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role focuses on monitoring, testing, recording, and reacting to data to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The position requires the ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ongoing QA analysis, implementation of GMP practices, and participation in audits. The role involves both office and production floor work with occasional training travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of quality assurance experience preferable.
• HACCP Certified preferred.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with USDA/FDA and SQF preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong, logical decision-making skills; problem solving and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving, developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective QA program, including GMP elements.
• Setting up and participating in sensory testing.
• QA analysis: bulk density, particle size, and water activity for materials and blends.
• Develop, maintain, and control QA and production SOPs and specifications.
• Inventory management including short-dated/expired products and returns.
