Job summary

Fresh Express Harrisburg is seeking a QA Technician to join the Production Team in a fast-paced setting. The role focuses on routine sampling, testing, and documenting results to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidate has basic science and computer skills (Excel/Outlook/Word), can read/write in English, and is comfortable working in cold, wet environments, overtime, and long shifts as production demands.

Qualifications

• Basic science and technical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook and Word).
• Ability to read and interpret English safety rules and product specs.
• Ability to write routine reports and e-mails in English.
• Able to work in cold (32–36°F), noisy and wet environments.
• Willing to overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for routine sampling and testing of Fresh Express product at various stages of production.
• Identify, communicate and document out-of-spec samples.
• Make adjustments to ensure specifications are met and recheck after adjustments.
• Enforce GMP rules and perform microbiological analysis as required.
• Conduct and document inspections for food safety and product traceability.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of results.
