Job summary

Bake’n Joy Foods, Inc. in Massachusetts is hiring a Buyer to secure key raw materials, packaging, and supplies essential to operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, lead sourcing efforts, and support continuous improvement of the supplier network to reduce costs and improve availability. The role collaborates with R&D and production planning, requires a Bachelor’s in Business or related field and 2–4 years purchasing experience in manufacturing, preferably food.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2–4 years progressive experience in Purchasing & Sourcing in manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQF and other quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities and supplier relationships.
• Issue purchase orders and documentation for ingredients, packaging, labels, and indirect services.
• Address issues related to schedule adherence, on-time delivery, shelf life, quality, and pricing with internal teams.
• Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones.
• Forecast procurement needs and maintain safety stock.
• Collaborate with R&D and Quality & Food Safety to source and qualify materials.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive cost reductions.
