Food Manufacturing (Bakery) in Commerce, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to own the procurement of key ingredients and packaging categories.

The role is newly created with growth toward supervision/management, reporting to the VP of Purchasing. You will source, negotiate, and manage purchasing while mentoring the team in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing industry experience required
• Experience with commodity/ingredient purchasing and market pricing
• Tactical purchasing with potential for strategic sourcing growth
• Experience monitoring usage and leading data analytics
• Pursuing CPSM or CPIM certification
• Intermediate MS Excel skills: formulas, data management, reporting

Salary: USD85000 - USD100000 per year

Hours: M-F// 8a-430p - may come in as early as 730a

Pay: $85 – 100K/yr.

KEYS TO HIRE

• Food Mfg industry exp – MUST (BIG plus if they come from Bakery)
• Experience with commodity or ingredient purchasing subject to market pricing
• Tactical purchasing experience required but this role will grow into more of a strategic sourcing role
• Experience monitoring usage and leading data analytics
• Progress toward CPSM, APICS/ASCM CPIM, or equivalent certification
• Intermediate MS Excel experience – Formulas/Functions, Data Management, Reporting & Analysis, Formatting & Productivity
