Paid training is provided, and responsibilities while covering a food market may include leading and working alongside volunteer staff to ensure smooth operations, receiving and sorting food deliveries and donations, restocking and organizing the food market and warehouse freezers and coolers, ordering fresh and non‑perishable food from multiple sources, maintaining inventory/budget and ensuring overall cleanliness of the market, and assessing client eligibility while offering appropriate referrals and information.

The Float Supervisor leads by example, modeling culturally responsive, client-centered service and setting a welcoming tone for all food market guests. We strongly encourage individuals from BIPOC communities and those with lived experience in historically marginalized or excluded communities to apply. Your perspective and leadership are deeply valued.
