Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saint Joseph, MO is hiring a Production Associate to use the daily production schedule and ensure product requirements are met. You will handle ingredients, packaging, and equipment with safety and quality at the forefront.

The role requires good reading and math skills, mechanical aptitude, and clear communication. Expect 12-hour day shifts onsite, with emphasis on GMP, FSMA compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of experience.
• Food manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to start up and check equipment for preventative maintenance issues and proper setup.
• Perform quality checks on packaging, codes, weights, and case inspections.
• Read daily production schedule and recognize product-specific requirements for each line.
• Follow GMP, safety procedures, quality policies and HACCP/FSMA guidelines.
• Communicate problems or concerns with the appropriate personnel; coordinate with relief staff.
• Assist with maintaining daily production efficiency and sanitation duties.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow all food safety policies and regulatory criteria including SQF and GMPs.
