Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saint Joseph, MO, is seeking a Maintenance Tech to maintain equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support operations in a food manufacturing environment. This role requires adherence to HACCP/OSHA and food safety policies.

You will troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, rebuild components, and assist production operators while supporting safety and quality standards. The position is onsite with night shift (12-hour) and hourly pay, with benefits package included.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructions and schematics.

Responsibilities

Performs corrective and emergency maintenance on packaging/processing equipment.
Completes scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders.
Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical issues and assists operators.
Rebuilds pumps, mills, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
Generates work requests and tracks hours in plant systems.
Adheres to HACCP, OSHA, GMP, FSMA, and preventive controls.
