Job summary

Westminster Cracker Company in Vermont is seeking a Production Supervisor to run one of our shifts. You will manage all production activity, ensure output, quality, food safety, safety, and people on the line.

You'll direct the hourly team, set staffing and station assignments, and make day-to-day decisions within the shift plan, collaborating with Maintenance, Planning, and Quality to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food manufacturing, including at least 1 year leading others
• GMP, HACCP, and SQF on a production floor
• Ability to run a shift independently and hold people accountable
• Clear written and verbal communication; basic computer skills for reporting
• Willingness to work assigned shift including weekends and coverage
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Plan the shift from the production schedule, assign stations, and set priorities before the first run
• Make real-time decisions on line speed, changeovers, downtime, and staffing when needed
• Be the reporting supervisor for hourly employees — attendance, time approval, coaching, performance reviews
• Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations
• Enforce GMP, HACCP, SQF, and allergen controls and stop lines if safety or quality requires
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, and Quality to keep the shift running
• Report shift results — output, yield, waste, downtime, labor — accurately and on time
