Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Production Worker for our Urbandale, IA site to operate proprietary machines and follow production orders. The role emphasizes quality control, safety, and efficient material handling in a food-grade environment.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to GMP standards. This is a contract-to-hire position with full PPE provided and onsite training.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• At least 6 months of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and safety instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate proprietary machines to manufacture additives.
• Follow work order specifications and process job orders.
• Assemble ingredients and fabricate finished products.
• Make equipment adjustments and perform minor repairs.
• Use mechanical and electrical knowledge to operate and maintain equipment.
• Inspect and measure products to verify quality.
• Assist in inspecting materials prior to use.
• Assist in ingredient, packaging, and inventory management.
• Compute ingredient quantities based on production schedules.
• Document time, ingredients, and processes accurately.
