Job summary

Aventure Staffing is hiring safety-minded Food Production Operators for a Norfolk-based food manufacturing facility. You will stage, prepare, and process food-grade materials using specialized machinery in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long shifts, adhering to GMP and HACCP standards, and maintaining accurate batch logs. Weekly pay, health benefits, and solid scheduling support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Stage and load raw product into processing baskets; operate overhead hoists and assist with batching.
• Safely run processing equipment and perform line sanitation and cleaning.
• Maintain daily batch and processing logs; ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, and HACCP standards.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and use provided PPE.

Food Production Operator Pay: $18.60/hourLocation: Norfolk, NEShift:6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Mon-Friday

Aventure Staffing is hiring safety-minded Food Production Operators to join an established food manufacturing facility in Norfolk. In this role, you will stage, prepare, and process food-grade raw materials using specialized machinery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Raw Material Handling: Stage and load raw product into processing baskets; operate overhead hoists and assist with batching using hydra-slicer machinery.
• Equipment Operation & Sanitization: Safely run processing equipment and execute routine line washdowns and sanitizing to maintain inspection-ready clean rooms.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain daily batch and processing logs; uphold SQF, GMP, and HACCP food-safety standards. Promptly elevate any product discrepancies to leadership.
• Workplace Safety: Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and wear all company-provided PPE (rubber boots, ear protection, safety glasses, aprons, and face shields).

Qualifications & Physical Demands

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for a 12-hour shift; consistently lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in temperature-variable food production areas around operating mechanical equipment.
• Basic Skills: Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, and standard measurements); ability to follow detailed written and spoken instructions.
• Reliability: Proven attendance record, strong focus on personal and team safety, and a positive team attitude.
