Job summary

Mantrose Group, part of RPM International, is seeking a production mixer in Elgin, IL. You will blend raw materials, ensure safe, SQF-compliant production, and train associates.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and flexibility for varied shifts, including nights and weekends. As part of a legacy company focused on coatings and functional blends, you’ll help maintain quality standards and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good reading, writing and math skills.
• Safety conscious and able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Certified forklift driver preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees.
• Knowledgeable of SQF and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• The production mixer blends raw material according to the daily production schedule.
• Produce quality products meeting Safety, SQF and Customer regulations.
• Coach, counsel, train and develop associates' skills.
• Establish efficient production processes for all product lines.
• Ensure QA and SQF procedures are followed.
• Train associates in production process improvements.
• Review production schedule with line associates before shift and communicate changes.
• Ensure formulas, labels, tools and equipment are ready before start.
• Inspect lines to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
• Keep production areas clean and safe; maintain documentations.
• Maintain communication with Manager and shift Supervisors; escalate issues.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
