Responsibilities include:
- Keep a reasonable flow of raw / cooked meat products moving through the processing machines.
- Lift, push, and pull products to maintain a smooth flow of materials.
- Stuff, formulate, and link raw products by hand, requiring extensive attention to detail.
- Inspect meat products and packaging before finalization to catch deformities, imperfections, or quality issues.
- Place finished products into pre-formed boxes for distribution.
Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirements :
- Stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours).
- Walk throughout the department for 20% of the shift.
- Use both hands and arms frequently.
- Lift overhead using both arms.
- Bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift.
- Push/Pull racks weighing up to 300 pounds.
- Lift up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
- Work in refrigerated environment (28°F to 34°F) constantly throughout the shift.
- Frequent exposure to raw beef and pork meat products.
- Floors may be slippery when wet due to sanitation processes.
Job Requirements :
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for counting products.
- Military experience is welcomed.
